Thank God for faithful teachers and preachers. I have enjoyed and been encouraged and challenged spiritually by many of Pastor Martin's sermons, as well as those of other Pastors and guest ministers either heard online, or through purchased audiotapes and videotapes over the past 10 years. The sound biblical presentation of the doctrines of God's grace have sustained me in my walk with the Lord even though I have been a member of a congregation where such doctrines are distorted or not preached at all. Recently, a trial of my faith has become more evident and I am experiencing God's merciful hand of discipline leading me to finally have the courage to make a change, prompted mainly by a pastoral request that I resign as a member. I hope that in the future I may be able to endure the testing that has now been manifest in my life. God is clearly saying to me that I must be true to His Holy Scripture and not to man's opinion of what the Bible teaches. By taking a recent public stand against the Passion movie using many of the biblical points so well stated by Pastor Martin, God has revealed the spiritual shallowness of my present pastor and many of his followers. To that end, I ask for prayer for God's wisdom and leading by faith to do what is right in God's sight, even to the point of departing from membership in this congregation without a fight and seeking to join with a church like Trinity where God's Word is preached truthfully and forthrightly. May God continue to bless the ministries of Trinity Baptist Church!

I want to thank you for your sermon on "The Passion" To See Or Not To See. After getting caught up in the "hype" and finally attend the movie I knew something was the matter. I knew instantly that a percentage of the movie was false and did not occur according to the Gospels. During the viewing my spirit was troubled and I felt those "warning bells" of the Holy Spirit tell me this is not Biblical! But your sermon really opened my eyes to the truth and to the damage this movie could inflict on a Born Again Child of God and to unbelievers alike. I sent a copy to my dad as he was having the same feelings as I did after he returned from the movie. He called me and told me he was extremely sorry that he allowed his 13 year old grandson and my mother to watch this heresy. I do pray as you indicated that this at least will will open the door for me to tell people the rest of the story about our wonderful Saviour Jesus Christ! I think any form in telling the Gospel message is important! Jesus Christ did in died the most horrible death known to mankind, there are some people who will never go to a Church, but they would go to a movie house. I saw this film! I saw w/ my heart & my Love for the Lord Jesus Christ! Yes there was some things that was a picture of what was going on there. But the Salvation message was there, The fact that there seems to be a offence to this film by Christians & non-Christian is not a surprise, Jesus Him self said that He would be a offence to many people. The world does not want to see what it cost Jesus to save all of us. My walk w/ the Wonderful Lamb of God has been in riched to see how much he Loved me & all people of the earth. I just wanted you to know how I felt about it. I could not get into your "real player" but I felt as Christians we should rejoice in the Lord that there are people who never heard of what Jesus did on the cross! There are many churches in this area getting a block of tickets to view "The Passion" and invite unsaved. When I heard this a red flag went up in my mind. I have had reservations about the viewing of the film. What really sparked my reserve was how anxious some in the body of believers are to see the film. I thank you for this message! The Lord has brought conviction upon me in regards to how I let the world into my life and the life of my family. We don't need the influence of this film at all and I knew before hearing your message, that it is certainly not something for an unbeliever to see. I thank you for your stand on this film. The Lord has used it to confirm my own doubts about the film and direct my thinking and heart in the way that is consistent with scripture. This film will spark controversy and questions, but I don't need to go see it to have the answers. God has already given them to me through his word.

I really admire what God is doing through your ministry. The favour of God is upon you and may He continue using your ministry to reach the many who're unreached by the gospel. I am a pastor with a burden of raising orphans and reformed street children.Right now I've 75 of this destitute souls. I am a Kenyan and I pastor a church in the western part of the nation. I started this project of raising these children one year ago and as I took them in from the same neighborhood there arose a great need to open a church for these children and when the surrounding people saw what God was doing they joined and right now we are 65 members. I am not tied with any Church or Organisation but I called this place 'Jesus Worship Centre'. I am requesting whether you can take us in as one in your ministry and can you please be involved in this devine course of taking care of these poor children who needs our love, they cant get it anywhere until we show them that Jesus loves them. I offer them education, food, shelter clothing etc but the burden is heavy. Acts 20:34-35.'It's good to give than to receive'. I did send Pastor Martin an e-mail, in order to thank him personally for his convicting, practical preaching on the the important topic of Christians being engaged in a warfare. His material on the topic helped to bring my years of research on the subject into clearer focus for me. I want to thank you for making the ministry from your local church available on-line; it is useful and God-honoring. In these days of general apostasy, it is difficult to find those who believe and practice the Word of God as it was once delivered to the saints. M.P.

As an over-the-road truck driver, I have been recording Pastor Martin's msgs on cassettes and have been taking them with me on the road. It was by the Providence of God. During my time at a IFCA (Independent Fundamental Churches of America) I came across a brother who loved the Lord and desired to read Reformed literature and hear Christ centered preaching one day he played a tape in the car on our way home from visiting Grace Community Church (MacArthur) when the tape was over I knew I never heard preaching like that in my whole life it caused myself to look inward and examine myself. I believe in that little Nissan Sentra I truly worshiped God in spirit and truth.

All I have to say is Albert N. Martin is the last of the Puritans. I only need 3 more PURITAN PAPERBACK books to complete that series from Banner of Truth. I unashamedly request that Albert N. Martin's sermons should be put into book form and added to that series of PURITAN PAPERBACKS for future generations. I believe every Pastor should listen to the tape series "A CALL TO THE MINISTRY" and "THE CARNAL CHRISTIAN DOCTRINE". SOLA DEO GLORIA  R.C.

After hearing a message of expository teaching and preaching by pastor Martin I was " hooked," therefore we [my daughter and three sons ] listen as often as we can, because although we attend a bible believing church our pastor, who we love dearly, barely wets our appetites and I am keenly aware of the awesome responsibility I have to raise the Lord's children in a manner that is pleasing in His sight and brings Him the utmost glory and delight. These are by far the most edifying sermons I have ever heard. Being in a spiritual desert, longing for the Lord had begun to feel like fanatism or worse, crazy. [heard of Trinity from] A friend of mine from my church. As a new Christian nearly 30 years ago now, I was introduced to the theology and doctrines espoused by the good folks from Dallas Theological Seminary. This influenced the way I understood the Bible, how I viewed God and every aspect of my walk with Christ. Through the years I began to have some difficulty understanding many portions of scripture when viewed from these perspectives. For example; the promise of a new covenant in Jer.31, was this the same covenant described in Heb.8? if so was Israel and the church both to enter into this same covenant with Christ? Also was a secret Pretib Rapture really taught in scripture? And why wasn’t Math. 24 not applied to the NT church? If it was, wouldn’t these paint a very different picture than the one I had been taught? I began to re-think my positions and why I held certain views and what lead me to hold these views. I decided to study church history and examine when, where and how orthodox Christendom was influenced by the teachings and doctrines introduced by various men. All this to say I was lead to abandon my former positions and turn toward and embrace reformed Theology. I decided to write this note after recently listening to tape by Pastor Martin regarding Dispensationalism. His thoughts and insights were very confirming to me that I was on the right track in my on going pursuit of Biblical truth. Thank you.  L.N.

I searched for churches on the web. I think you have a nice home page and I hope you're being blessed! I have a prayer request: Sweden is maybe going to get a new law that will forbid preachers and other people to preach that homosexuality is wrong and that what the Bible says about it is not valid today. Those who'll keep on preaching that it is wrong will get fined or get in prison. If we'll get this law we won't be able to pray for homosexuals and help them to freedom. The Swedish parliament is going to vote for or against this law May 15th. I'll be very grateful if you'd help us to pray for Sweden so that we can keep on preaching the Gospel without risking to get in jail or get fined! There is such a lack of truthful, Biblical preaching in our country today, but one has to look no farther than Pastor Martin to hear it fresh and unadulterated. I personally know of no other finer and committed preacher/teacher in the ministry today than him. Although I have never met him personally, I have visited his fine church in Montville, New Jersey, and have heard him hundreds of times via radio (WMCA). I also have a large collection of his tapes, some of which are "worn out" from listening and sharing with others. In my publication, Homeward Bound, Trinity Baptist Church and Pastor Martin are the only ones I am able to confidently and truthfully recommend to my readers in northern New Jersey. Please also relay this message to Pastor Martin. I'm a graduate of Nyack College and was given a tape of a sermon by Pastor Martin 14 years ago (the sermon was "A Life of Principled Obedience"). I thought then, and still think today, it was one of the strongest sermons I've ever heard. I've kept it and others I ordered for years, and they've ministered to me for years. I regret never visiting your Church while at Nyack. I look to use your tapes and materials in our church library as I am now an elder in a church that is finishing it's first building.

The first I heard of the church was when I was given some tapes of a Banner of Truth Youth Conference in 1987 - Pastor Martin preached on "Honouring Christ in Male & Female Roles & Relationships". I had heard nothing like this before and it made a profound impression on me and my future wife. I met Pastor Martin on his next visit to the same conference in 1989. From then on I learned more and more of your church from one of my friends (Pastor Robert Briggs) who had been called to the ministry, and had visited Trinity. I finally made it to your church last year for the Pastors Conference - what a blessing it was.

I cannot tell you how much I have appreciated the ministry of Trinity Baptist Church - from my first impressions of the preaching of Pastor Martin on tape, to my eventual visit last year and the opportunity to meet so many of the congregation - special memories include Chuck & Andrea Davies and family (with whom I stayed), Pastor Jeff Smith and family and Mr Harry Heist & their daughter Nancy who graciously invited myself and Pastors Robert Elliot and Robert Briggs to dinner. My former pastor in CA told me of your church before we moved here this month. He has heard Pastor Martin on tape.

Our visit this past Sunday was the 3rd time for my son and I and my husband's second. He arrived in town later than we did. Since Pastor Martin was gone Sunday before last, this last Lord's Day was my husband's first opportunity to hear Pastor Martin. On the way to church I commented that maybe we should consider also looking into churches closer to our home in Mendham, however, after this last Sunday's wonderful exposition of God's Word I commented, "Well, that was a bit premature, why would I look elsewhere, truth is not proclaimed that often." My son, who will be leaving to return to CA next month as a freshman at Fresno State said he was glad to hear me say that because this is where he wants to go when he returns to us for holidays. Your people have been very welcoming and friendly, let me encourage you in that way. Continue to minister His Word in such a profound way!!

I have heard messages delivered by Dr. Al Martin at the Ligonier Ministries Summer Conferences with Dr. R.C.Sproul.

I believe that Dr. Al Martin has what many in the ranks of Classical Conservative Evangelicalism would call "A True Sense of Reformation!" I personally appreciate his great ability to handle the texts of the Word of God with prestine clarity. He along with great men of the faith in our present day such as; Drs. John MacArthur, R.C. Back in the 80's, a brother in Christ gave me one of Pastor martin's tapes on the doctrines of grace--the rest is history.

I owe Pastor Martin much for pointing me to the truth of God's sovereign grace. I listened to many of his messages in the late 80's and early 90's over and over until I could begin to grasp the truth he was expounding. "Expository Evangelism" stands out as a premiere sermon in my growth. I currently pastor in Alabama and am anxiously working through the online series "Fear of God." May the Lord continue to use this ministry.
