Our
Nation is in desperate spiritual need. That need, in all its complexity, can
only be truly met in the gospel of Jesus Christ. The only real hope for
solving our moral and social problems as individuals and as a nation is in
the preaching and believing of the gospel of our blessed Lord and Savior
Jesus Christ. We do not need a social or a political or a psychological
gospel. We need the true gospel found in God's Word the bible. God's Word,
with all its terrifying threats and warnings as well as all its blessed
promises and glorious hope, must be faithfully proclaimed to this
generation. The preaching of God's Word to our nation must also be
accompanied by our fervent prayers and supplication to God for his blessing
upon his ordained message and method of proclamation.
As we at Trinity have sought to be faithful
in both praying for our nation and preaching the biblical gospel, we have
asked how we could get that message to more people. For many years we have
distributed cassette recordings of the sermons which we, by God's mercy,
have profited from for many years. And yet we have continued to be burdened
to see more sinners brought under the sound of the gospel and the saving
power of God. The Lord has granted our desire in part through this ministry
of producing the God's Word to Our Nation radio program.
The radio program consists of a twenty-five
minute edited version of one of the full-length sermons preached from our
pulpit week by week as well as an invitation to listeners to call us with
questions and comments about the broadcast and to request a free copy of the
unedited version of the broadcast message. We have been privileged to make
contact with many as a result of the broadcast and have been able to
minister to listeners who call us following the broadcasts. Several have
come to worship with us.
If you share our burden for our nation and
desire to begin a radio ministry of your own but lack the time or resources
to produce a program yourself, we can help. We will provide the free
broadcast for you to sponsor over your local radio station. Each program
will feature a twenty-five minute message, which is reformed and calvinistic
in perspective and biblical in content, delivered by Pastor Albert N. Martin
or other noted preachers.
Should you decide to sponsor a broadcast,
your church will be clearly identified as part of each
program with your directions, service times, and other information provided so
listeners in your area may contact you.
